We collect your phone number and message content to operate the service. We don't sell your data. Ever. We don't share it with advertisers. We keep it secure and use it only to make Text THAT Friend work.
1. Who We Are
Text THAT Friend is operated by Summit Send Labs LLC, a Colorado single-member LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). You can reach us at support@textthatfriend.com.
2. What We Collect
When you use Text THAT Friend via SMS, we collect:
Your phone number
The messages you send us and our responses
Your carrier name and line type (e.g., Wireless, Landline) — provided automatically by your carrier
Message timestamps and usage counts
Payment information if you purchase a PACK or VIP subscription (processed securely by Stripe — we never see your full card number)
3. How We Use Your Information
To deliver the Text THAT Friend service — generating and sending AI responses to your messages
To track your message count and tier (Free, PACK, or VIP)
To process payments via Stripe
To send VIP-exclusive content such as daily video drops
To improve the product — we may review message exchanges in aggregate to improve AI response quality
To comply with legal obligations and SMS regulations
4. What We Don't Do
We do not sell your data to third parties
We do not share your data with advertisers
We do not use your messages to train third-party AI models without your consent
We do not send you unsolicited marketing messages
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate Text THAT Friend:
Telnyx — SMS delivery and phone number management
OpenAI — AI response generation
Supabase — secure database storage
Stripe — payment processing
Railway — application hosting
Each of these providers has their own privacy policies and data practices. We share only the minimum data necessary for each service to function.
6. Data Retention
We retain your phone number and message history for as long as you are an active user. If you opt out by texting STOP, your account is flagged as opted out and you will receive no further messages. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us at support@textthatfriend.com.
Text THAT Friend is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used our service, please contact us immediately.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last Updated" date at the top when we do. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
